SCHUTT SPORTS / BATTER'S AND CATCHER'S HELMETS
Raytech was contracted to redesign the batter’s helmet for this major manufacturer of youth sports safety equipment. Raytech’s design team used client input to design several configurations of the helmet, based on aesthetic, safety and manufacturability requirements. Raytech’s engineers provided mold flow analysis, and recommended plastic alloy, venting and cooling, and other tool design and machine settings. This input helped the manufacturer produce their best "first articles" in over 20 years of manufacturing. Based on the success of the batter’s helmet, Raytech was asked to redesign the catcher’s helmet as well as refine the design of another helmet, not shown.
