Electrical Engineering
Based on extensive hardware and software design experience, Raytech's engineers provide innovative electrical designs that are focused on performance, reliability and cost.
Circuit Design
Based on performance requirements, Raytech engineers develop circuit diagrams and associated hardware and software specifications -- the basis upon which electrical design is developed.
Hardware Design
Engineers create detailed three-dimensional computer models of parts and assemblies using the latest industry-standard 3D CAD software. The 3D CAD files include manufacturing-related features, such as draft on injection molded parts, or sheet metal relief cutouts. The models are used to generate prototypes, production tooling, and presentations.
Software Design
Products often utilize embedded programmable microprocessors. Raytech engineers design, document, and verify programs utilizing C, C++, Java, Assembly, and other languages. From video games to medical products, Raytech provides tested and validated code that meets client and regulatory requirements.
Printed Circuit Board Design
From high volume single sided boards to controlled impedance multi-layer boards, Raytech provides design, simulation, fabrication, and testing services.
Prototype Circuit Boards
Raytech works with specialty board manufacturers to build and test prototypes. The boards are used at many stages in the product design process to evaluate a design and to verify the design's functionality.
Component Selection
Raytech engineers select, source and specify components for client applications, from low cost toys to high performance, regulated medical systems. The selection process provides Qualified Parts Lists (QPLs), datasheet files, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) documents. Component specifications range from user interfaces such as LEDs or flat panel LCDs to resistors, transistors, chips, etc. The resultant documentation provides a basis to qualify and audit contract manufacturers.
