Roach Traps

Printable Version of Case Study [PDF]

Problem:

Sticky roach traps are messy and give no indication of when they are full. When there are roaches stuck in them, additional roaches can walk over the top of the trapped roaches and escape unharmed. Poison traps are dangerous to children and pets, and leave the roaches to crawl off and die elsewhere.

Solution:

Raytech's design team creates mock-ups during the early stages of a design program. Form study models are used to review ergonomics, aesthetics, and/or layout.

Scope of Work:

Designers create detailed three-dimensional computer models of parts and assemblies. The 3D CAD models, created using solid modeling software, such as SolidWorks®, are most often made into the intended manufacturing shape, including draft and other manufacturing-related features. The models are used to generate prototypes, production tooling, and presentations.
